About Korean Numbers

Korean has two number systems:

  • Sino-Korean: (일, 이, 삼...) Used for money, minutes, years, phone numbers, months, etc.
  • Native Korean: (하나, 둘, 셋...) Used for counting, ages, hours, etc.

Native Korean numbers are generally only used up to 99. For higher numbers, Koreans use the Sino-Korean system.
